Tshwene Lodge

Surrounded by magnificent rock outcrops, Tshwene Lodge is a secluded oasis in the rugged valley of the Taaibos River in the Big 5 Welgevonden Game Reserve in the Waterberg of South Africa. The Chacma baboon, after which the lodge is named, calls late at night to alert of pending danger. Rich in bird life, Tshwene offers peace and tranquillity for those seeking to get away from it all. The five strategically located suites all offer exhilarating views of the valleys below and the hills beyond.

Mashovhela Lodge:

Mashovhela Lodge is situated on Morning Sun Reserve, a world heritage site, in the scenic Soutpansberg Mountains of the Limpopo Province. It is here that the 2nd most sacred site for the Venda people can be found in Mashovhela rock pool.

Guests are accommodated in en-suite chalets whose décor has been inspired by the Venda culture. The Lodge is well known for its excellent cuisine, service and tranquility

Tours to Venda allow guests to discover the sacred forests and lakes, the Venda mythology and the world recognised craftsman of this area.

The Outpost:

The Outpost lies in a vast wilderness area in the northernmost part of Kruger National Park rich in historical and cultural heritage. It is home to large herds of elephant and buffalo and the mountainous terrain is attractive to leopard and the region has resident prides of lion. Possible sightings of these and many other mammals and birds can be enjoyed during morning and afternoon game drives.

Guided tours are also available to Crooks Corner, where in the late 19th century, the infamous Ivory Route passed, which acquired its name from the number of outlaws living there. Situated right where South Africa. Zimbabwe and Mozambique meet, it was an ideal place for fugitives to just slip across one of the borders and take refuge in a foreign territory when the authorities came searching for them.
