The Outpost

The Outpost lies in a vast wilderness area in the northernmost part of Kruger National Park rich in historical and cultural heritage. It is home to large herds of elephant and buffalo and the mountainous terrain is attractive to leopard and the region has resident prides of lion. Possible sightings of these and many other mammals and birds can be enjoyed during morning and afternoon game drives.

Guided tours are also available to Crooks Corner, where in the late 19th century, the infamous Ivory Route passed, which acquired its name from the number of outlaws living there. Situated right where South Africa. Zimbabwe and Mozambique meet, it was an ideal place for fugitives to just slip across one of the borders and take refuge in a foreign territory when the authorities came searching for them.

Ekuthuleni Lodge

Situated in the heart of the malaria-free Welgevonden Private Game Reserve in the Waterberg of South Africa, Ekuthuleni Lodge invites you to savour true African luxury. Kololo Game Reserve

Kololo Game Reserve, situated in the heart of the Waterberg biosphere of the bushveld is roughly half way between Johannesburg and Mashovhela Lodge making it an ideal stop over en-route or returning from the lodge. It is a fascinating destination rich in cultural legacy and a natural splendour.

Kololo offers an unsurpassed, malaria free, wildlife experience with game drives on a neighbouring reserve to view the Big 5 as well as a wide variety of other game. Walking, cycling and horseback safaris are also available.
