Polokwane, previously Pietersburg, is the capital of the Limpopo Province. Four World Cup matches will take place here at the Peter Mokaba stadium, named in honour of the anti-apartheid activist Peter Mokaba who was renowned for his fighting spirit.

Accommodation is limited in Polokwane and will likely be booked for VIPs, press and organizers it would therefore be better to look at the Soutpansberg Mountains for accommodation. Only an hour from Polokwane, this area boasts one of the most scenic mountain ranges in South Africa and it is steeped in mythology and resonates with the
sound of the ancient lands. It is home to the Venda people, offering one of the best authentic cultural experiences in southern Africa.
